Beyond the city is the scenic Rogue Valley, featuring miles of hiking trails and wilderness. Jacksonville is also revered for its incredible music scene with live performances held year-round, including one of the Northwest's premier music festivals, The Britt Music & Arts Festival.

Jacksonville's biggest event is the premier musical festival, The Britt. But there are also plentiful opportunities to learn more about the historic town's legacy, like the Trolley Tours, a narrated tour of Jacksonville's past. Experience a twist on the normal historical tour with the Jacksonville Haunted History Walking Tour held June through September. 
 
Get outside and stretch your legs by visiting Forest Park, which is excellent for hiking and mountain biking. The Woodlands Trails System offers 20+ miles of trails for hiking. The Applegate Lake is ideal for fishing, camping, biking, and swimming.
 
Wine connoisseurs love the Applegate Valley Wine Trail, which pairs wine tasting with scenic beauty while navigating this beautiful region. 
 
Try something different by visiting the English Lavender Farm set in the heart of the Applegate Valley. This family-run farm allows visitors to pick their own lavender and even enjoy lavender lemonade and gelato.
